Carries work deals with recreating memory with the use of the body and images such as photographs. Her portraits deal with past Historical events that deal with African American's. Some which she was getting sued for appropriating them and making them into her own work. She chooses to do her work of African American Culture so she could learn and understand her past and history a lot more. She grew interest for dance and theater so she decides to do her work in recreating events such the Kennedy assassination and Obama's election speeches.
