Chris Mayne
Chris Mayne was a very interesting photographer. His work was extremely great, and by the looks of his work you would think he was a bug time artist with a lot of background experience and that had been doing this for years. But when he came in to talk to us he seemed like he was really a modest guy, seemed like he did photography as a hobby. But by looking at his work it looked like it would have taken him years to capture some of the images that he had. I think one of the biggest advantages that he has is the type of cameras that used. He use really high end cameras that he claims did most of the work. Another advantage that he had was the ability of being able to travel for free. One of the classmates asked him where did he receive all his funding from and he's response was 'my grandson is airline pilot" lol.... So that was extremely lucky from his part...

An-My Le
An-My Le deals with mostly military type photography. Since the Iraqi was it seems that the military has played a bigger role in the art world. Many of them stating different point of views and making political statements. An-My Le works with contemporary landscapes were she reenacts the Vietnam war in different parts of the US. She approaches these events obliquely. Instead of addressing her subject by creating reportage images of actual shocking events, she photographs places where war is psychologically anticipated, processed, and relived.

Carrie Mae Weems
Carries work deals with recreating memory with the use of the body and images such as photographs. Her portraits deal with past Historical events that deal with African American's. Some which she was getting sued for appropriating them and making them into her own work. She chooses to do her work of African American Culture so she could learn and understand her past and history a lot more. She grew interest for dance and theater so she decides to do her work in recreating events such the Kennedy assassination and Obama's election speeches. She say's that Obama could no be in the position the he is right now if it wasn't for all the African American people that have died...
Cindy Sherman
Cindy Sherman is a unique artist her mainly focus on portraits or self-portraits and fashion. She puts in a lot of work in designing the costumes she utilizes for her photographs. She really shows the power of make up in her work, how you always make a person appear different every time. One of the work I think she was very successful in was her series of clowns cause most of her pictures are her but appear to be a different person every time. One of her pieces that I found was the film strip she did while she was in college, of the doll getting dress and putting her self as the doll. She animates it the old fashion way of cutting and pasting each frame. Also reminds me of William Kentridge's work how she puts her work together...
